Licenciado en Química de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Llevo a cabo sus estudios de doctorado en la misma casa de estudios, realizando una pasantía de 9 meses en la Universidad de Wuhan, China. Obtuvo su Doctorado en Ciencias Químicas con distinción máxima. Ha sido investigador postdoctoral en el Núcleo Milenio Procesos Químicos y Catálisis (CPC), para posteriormente adjudicarse su propio proyecto Fondecyt Postdoctoral, además a participado en la adjudicación de proyectos anillos y Fondef como investigador asociado. Ha presentado su trabajo en congresos nacionales e internacionales, además de publicar en reconocidas revistas indexadas (ISI/Web of Science). Sus líneas de investigación se han centrado en Química Organometálica, Celdas Solares Orgánica, Catálisis y Polímeros. Actualmente se desempeña como jefe del Departamento de Ciencias Químicas y Biológicas. ivan.martinez@ubo.cl
